Many believers in the Lord want to know what sin is and how to cast off the bonds of sin. This is because these issues are directly related to the important matter of whether we can be saved and enter into the kingdom of heaven.
God’s words showed me that a duty is not one’s own personal enterprise. Our duty comes from God, and we should perform it as He requires. Training people is something God requires leaders to do.
God speaks and does work of judging and conquest
in light of your corrupt dispositions.
Only this work that is practical puts God’s holiness into sharp relief.
In the last days, God principally uses the word to make man perfect. He does not use signs and wonders to oppress man, or convince man; this cannot make plain the power of God.
Although human beings were redeemed by the Lord in the Age of Grace and absolved of their sins, people were not cleansed of their sinful natures—they all still live within the cycle of sinning, confessing, then once again sinning and once again confessing.
God has come onto the earth primarily to act as an exemplar and a model for those whom He is to gain; only thus can people actually know God, touch God, and see Him, and only then can they truly be gained by God.
When he was being chastised by God, Peter prayed, “O God! My flesh is disobedient, and You chastise me and judge me. I rejoice in Your chastisement and judgment, and even if You do not want me, in Your judgment I behold Your holy and righteous disposition.
You know Jesus shall descend during the last days,
but how exactly will He do this?
Can a sinner like you, who’s now redeemed
but not perfected, be after God’s heart?
In summary, taking Peter’s path in one’s faith means to walk the path of pursuing the truth, which is also the path of truly getting to know oneself and changing one’s disposition.
