How to Discern God’s Voice

God’s Words Are God’s Voice, and Have Authority and Power

The Lord Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6). “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (John 11:25). These are God’s words to all mankind, which contain power and authority. No human being could have said such words, but rather they are the voice of God, for only God is the truth, the way, and the life, and He presides over man’s life and death and determines man’s destiny and destination.
The utterances of Almighty God, Christ of the last days, are as authoritative and powerful as that of the Lord Jesus. Almighty God says: “Christ is man’s gateway to the kingdom during the last days, and there are none who can go around Him. None may be perfected by God except through Christ. You believe in God, and so you must accept His words and obey His way. You cannot only think of gaining blessings while being incapable of receiving the truth and incapable of accepting the provision of life. Christ comes during the last days so that all those who truly believe in Him may be provided with life. His work is for the sake of concluding the old age and entering the new one, and His work is the path that must be taken by all those who would enter the new age. If you are incapable of acknowledging Him, and instead condemn, blaspheme, or even persecute Him, then you are bound to burn for eternity and shall never enter the kingdom of God.”
“I was once known as Jehovah. I was also called the Messiah, and people once called Me Jesus the Savior with love and esteem. Today, however, I am no longer the Jehovah or Jesus that people knew in times past; I am the God who has returned in the last days, the God who shall bring the age to an end. I am the God Himself that rises up from the end of the earth, replete with My entire disposition, and full of authority, honor, and glory. People have never engaged with Me, never known Me, and have always been ignorant of My disposition. From the creation of the world until today, not one person has seen Me. This is the God who appears to man in the last days but is hidden among man. He resides among man, true and real, like the burning sun and the blazing flame, filled with power and brimming with authority. There is not a single person or thing that shall not be judged by My words, and not a single person or thing that shall not be purified through the burning of fire. Eventually, all nations shall be blessed because of My words, and also smashed to pieces because of My words. In this way, all people during the last days shall see that I am the Savior returned, and that I am the Almighty God that conquers all of mankind. And all shall see that I was once the sin offering for man, but that in the last days I also become the flames of the sun that incinerate all things, as well as the Sun of righteousness that reveals all things. This is My work in the last days.”
We can see that every letter of these words of Almighty God is invested with authority and power, and reveals God’s righteous, majestic and inviolable disposition. We can perceive that they are words no human being could speak, and are the expressions of God. This is the Creator bearing witness to His own disposition to all mankind, and He testifies that Christ is the truth and is man’s gateway to the kingdom. It is clear from this that the words of Almighty God and the words of the Lord Jesus come from the same source. They are both the expression of one Spirit. They are the utterances of one God toward mankind in different ages.

God’s Words Can Open Up the Mysteries Behind God’s Work of Management

The Bible says, “The secret things belong to Jehovah our God: but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law” (Deuteronomy 29:29). We can see that only God knows the secret things and only God can reveal the mysteries. The mystery of the work of God is the greatest mystery. The mysteries such as the content, goal, significance and plan of God’s work, and what God will accomplish in the future are things that only God Himself knows, and only God Himself can reveal them. We humans are just miniscule creatures. If God didn’t reveal the mystery of His work, it would forever be unknown to us.
Just as when the Lord Jesus came to work, He not only taught man how to confess, how to repent, to forgive, to endure and how to suffer and bear one’s cross, and all else that constitutes the way man in the Age of Grace should follow, but He also revealed the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven and the conditions under which we enter it. For example, it’s recorded in the Bible: “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3). “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). “Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the son stays ever” (John 8:34–35). “Not every one that said to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of My Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21). At that time, when the Lord Jesus became flesh and came to do His work, He clearly told us the criteria for entering the kingdom of heaven—only those who are able to accept God’s work humbly, repent to Him, put His words into practice in all things and be of one heart and mind with Him can enter into His kingdom.
Likewise, the words of Almighty God have revealed the mystery of entering the heavenly kingdom. Almighty God says, “You must know what kind of people I desire; those who are impure are not permitted to enter into the kingdom, those who are impure are not permitted to besmirch the holy ground. Though you may have done much work, and worked for many years, in the end if you are still deplorably filthy, then it will be intolerable to the law of Heaven that you wish to enter My kingdom! From the foundation of the world until today, never have I offered easy access to My kingdom to those who curry favor with Me. This is a heavenly rule, and no one can break it!” These words of God tell us that all those who don’t follow God’s way but live in sin will absolutely not be able to enter the kingdom of heaven. The standard for entering the kingdom of heaven set by Almighty God is the same as what the Lord Jesus required. From this we can see that the words of Almighty God and the words of the Lord Jesus come from the same source.
Apart from telling us of the standard for entering the kingdom of heaven, Almighty God has also revealed all the mysteries of God’s 6,000-year management plan, such as the mysteries of the three stages of God’s work, the inside story of God’s work in each age, the mystery of God’s name and the mystery of the incarnation. All this content is recorded in the book The Word Appears in the Flesh. For generations, not a single person has been able to reveal these mysteries, and these are mysteries never before revealed by God to man, but Almighty God, Christ of the last days has opened up all of them. This precisely fulfills the Lord Jesus’ words: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come” (John 16:12–13). Now we can be certain that the words of Almighty God are the utterances of the Holy Spirit, and are the voice of God.

God’s Words Can Commence or End an Age, and Can Bring People the Direction Ahead

God is the Creator who holds sovereignty over everything, and He is the truth, the way, and the life. Only God’s words can start a new age, and can usher in a new direction to follow for mankind. It’s just as God’s words say: “The words of God incarnate open up a new age, guide all of mankind, reveal mysteries, and show man the direction he is to take in the new age.”
In the Age of Law, God did the first stage of work—He issued the laws and commandments as a guide for people’s lives and allowed them to know what sin is. In the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus did His work of redemption to absolve mankind of sin and pointed the people of the Age of Grace onto the path they needed to enter into. For example, the Lord required that we confess and repent, and also to love our enemies, to be humble, patient, and tolerant, to love others as ourselves, and to take up our own cross and follow the Lord. These words were newer, higher words spoken by the Lord Jesus upon the foundation of the Age of Law. The words uttered by the Lord Jesus ended the Age of Law and launched the Age of Grace. Now is the last days; although we have been redeemed by the Lord Jesus, and our sins are forgiven, our sinful nature has not been resolved. We still can’t help but constantly tell lies and deceive, living in the state of sinning by day and confessing by night. Therefore, God has once again become flesh and has expressed His words of the new age to judge and chastise us and to show us the way to have our dispositions changed and be purified.
Almighty God says: “Though Jesus did much work among man, He only completed the redemption of all mankind and became man’s sin offering; He did not rid man of all his corrupt disposition. Fully saving man from the influence of Satan not only required Jesus to become the sin offering and bear the sins of man, but it also required God to do even greater work to rid man completely of his satanically corrupted disposition. And so, now that man has been forgiven of his sins, God has returned to the flesh to lead man into the new age, and begun the work of chastisement and judgment. This work has brought man into a higher realm.” “A sinner such as you, who has just been redeemed, and has not been changed, or been perfected by God, can you be after God’s heart? For you, you who are still of your old self, it is true that you were saved by Jesus, and that you are not counted as a sinner because of the salvation of God, but this does not prove that you are not sinful, and are not impure. How can you be saintly if you have not been changed? Within, you are beset by impurity, selfish and mean, yet you still wish to descend with Jesus—you should be so lucky! You have missed a step in your belief in God: You have merely been redeemed, but you have not been changed. For you to be after God’s heart, God must personally do the work of changing and cleansing you; if you are only redeemed, you will be incapable of attaining sanctity. In this way you will be unqualified to share in the good blessings of God, for you have missed out a step in God’s work of managing man, which is the key step of changing and perfecting. You, a sinner who has just been redeemed, are therefore incapable of directly inheriting God’s inheritance.”
We can learn from these words that though the Lord Jesus has forgiven our sins, our sinful nature remains, so we are still able to resist and betray God and take Him as our enemy. How then can we be qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven? Now, Christ of the last days, Almighty God, has come and is performing the work of judgment and chastisement based on the work of the Lord Jesus. He exposes and dissects our satanic nature so that we can know the essence of our nature; and He’s showed us the path to being cleansed of sin. Only by accepting God’s judgment work of the last days can we be free from the bonds of sin and be raptured into the kingdom of heaven. Let’s consider these questions: Who is capable of expressing words to save mankind? Who can expose the corrupt dispositions hidden deep within people’s souls? And who can accomplish God’s work of judgment in the last days and allow mankind who live in sin to escape satanic dispositions? Only God can do this. Therefore, Almighty God is the returned Lord Jesus, and the words that Almighty God expresses to cleanse and save man are the voice of God.
