Now is already the end of the last days and it is the crucial time of the Lord’s return. Many Christians are eagerly yearning for the Lord’s return. So how should we be the wise virgins who welcome the Lord's return?
The Lord Jesus once prophesied: “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him” (Matthew 25:6).
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
From this, we can see that, when the Lord Jesus returns in the last days, He will express and speak new words. The wise virgins are possessed of both heart and spirit and they take heed to listen to God’s voice. When they hear someone testifying the news of the Lord Jesus’ return, they are then able to positively and actively seek. Over a period of investigation, the wise virgins are then able to recognize God’s voice from His words and, in this way, they are then able to attend the feast alongside the Lord. It is clear that the key to whether or not we can welcome the Lord is whether or not we are able to hear the voice of God.
